Annotation: This article covers the role and functions of metaphors in text formation. Metaphors help to make the text more understandable, emotionally and aesthetically richer. At the same time, they provide a convenient opportunity for the reader to simplify complex concepts and receive new knowledge. The article examines the basic functions of metaphors and analyzes their effects on the reader in detail.
