Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected world, proficiency in English transcends mere linguistic ability; it serves as a gateway to understanding and engaging with diverse cultures globally. English language teaching (ELT) has evolved beyond grammar and vocabulary acquisition to encompass the cultivation of intercultural competence—an essential skill for navigating multicultural landscapes. This article examines the role of English language education in developing intercultural competence among students.
