Abstract

In the globalized world, translation serves as a critical bridge between languages, cultures, economies, and political systems. It is not only a linguistic process but also a socio-economic and political phenomenon that impacts global communication, trade, diplomacy, and governance. This article explores how translation operates in a globalized context, focusing on its role in international trade, political discourse, and cultural exchange. By analyzing the intersection of language, economics, and politics, the article demonstrates how translation shapes global power structures and facilitates—or hinders—cross-cultural understanding. It also examines the ethical challenges translators face in navigating the often-competing demands of loyalty, neutrality, and creativity in a world increasingly defined by economic and political interdependence.
