THEME : History of Andijan region and national museum of Andijan culture

Abstract

Andijan, located in the eastern part of Uzbekistan, has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Situated in the fertile Fergana Valley, Andijan was historically an important agricultural and trade center. Archaeological findings suggest that the region was inhabited as far back as the Bronze Age. By the 1^st millennium BCE, it had become a part of the Achaemenid Empire, contributing to the cultural and economic exchanges along the Silk Road.
