THE USE OF INNOVATIVE METHODS IN TEACHING NURSING IS ESSENTIAL FOR IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES

- The Use of Digital Technologies in Education:
- Virtual Reality (VR) and Simulations: Practical training is crucial in developing professional skills when teaching nursing. VR technologies provide students with the opportunity to experience real-life scenarios. For example, they can practice simulated surgeries or patient care exercises.
- Online Platforms and Mobile Applications: Students can enhance their knowledge in nursing through interactive tests and access to remote lessons, available via online platforms and mobile applications.
- Collaborative and Cooperative Learning Methods:
- Group Projects and Problem-Solving: Nursing students should be trained to work in teams in various professional situations. Cooperative approaches allow students to study together, analyze problems, and find the best solutions.
- Problem-Based Learning (PBL): In this approach, students reinforce their theoretical knowledge by solving real clinical issues.
- Interactive Learning Methods:
- Gamification: Incorporating game elements into nursing education engages students and increases their participation. Challenges of varying difficulty, a ranking system, or rewards can be introduced to motivate learners.
- Small Group Discussions and Seminars: Discussions that give each student the opportunity to express their thoughts and apply their knowledge in practice can be highly beneficial.
